SOLIDARITY FESTIVAL
The goal of the organization and the teachers is create a space where the mixture of nationalities, cultures and experiences enrich each other and this can be changed the stereotypes inside and outside the country. Thanks to the Contact dance and effort of the Organization and the teacher Cristiane Boullosa, inviting the Festival to the dancers from Morocco with a symbolic price of registration.
Contact Improv Sahara Desert Festival, collaborate with the Khamlia Association for the development of solidarity and heritage http://khamlia.org/es/ that works for the development of different local projects.
TEAM
Cristiane Boullosa
Choreographer, dancer, pedagogue and trainer of Contact Improvisation.
Co-director of the Training in Contact Improvisation 2016/2017. And teacher in Estudio3: 'Advanced Contact Improvisation' Course 2016/2017
Degree in Dance from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), she has also studied classical ballet with the Royal Academy of Dance method.
His training is influenced by techniques of Modern Dance of the United States (Graham, Limon, Horton, Cunningham), German Expressionism (dance-theater, gesture language) and techniques of Improvisation and Contact.
Significant influences in their pedagogical and artistic work have been Marta Saback, Francesc Bravo, Steve Paxton, Lisa Nelson, Katie Duck, Karl Frost, David Zambrano. As a pedagogue, she has been teaching regular dance classes at official conservatories, private education centers and universities, and workshops for theater and dance companies for 28 years. He currently directs the 'Omos Uno Company', in which he works developing his own method of investigation and practice for the scene: the Spheres System.
As a choreographer, dancer and pedagogue, she has traveled to international festivals and circuits (Brazil, Spain, Sweden, Colombia, Panama, Morocco), both with her first company 'Dobre Xiro' and with 'Compañía Rayo Malay' by Francesc Bravo.

WORKSHOPS
What is Contact Improvisation?
Contact improvisation is a practice where the contacting zone with another body is the starting point for exploring movement.
It is frequently performed in “duos” although it does allow the possibility of integrating more than 2 dancers or exploring your own “solo”, in contact with the ground and space that surrounds you.
With great emphasis on the “flow” of the movements and consciousness of self and others, C.I. invites you to think creative and spontaneously, testing your physical abilities.

BODY AWAKEMENT
During this days we offer special MEDITATION before breakfast, as a kind of body awakener.

MUSIC JAMS WITH DRUMS
Some jam shall be open to those who wish to share musically in acoustic form.
FOCUS JAM
These are special jams, meaning that a focus is kept, a specic theme, we generally begin together and nish together.
HISTORY TALK
Our guest professor shall hold talks about the history of contact improvisation.

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD
The price included:
6 days / 5 nights accommodation, 1 night in a hostel, 4 nights in jaimas sharing with other dancers and Ecofood (breakfast, lunch and dinner), mineral water and tea. Also we will have to fresh and dried fruits and typical deserts during the workshops and the JAMS.

HOW TO GET
There are different ways to get to Khamlia.
Transfer from Fez to the Festival is included in the registration fee, by taxi, bus or minibus.
By plane:
The easiest and fastest way to get there is from the city of Fez. Khamlia is located 470 kilometers away, in the Desert of Erg Chebbi, the most famous town in the area is Merzouga.

You can also arrive by plane from other cities like Marrakech, Rabat, Casablanca or Tangier. The organization will help you find transport to get the Festival.
By ferry:
From Tarifa or Algeciras to Tangier. And then by train or bus to Fez and then private taxi, minibus or bus to the Festival, this transfer is included in the fee of registration.

By car:
For the more adventurous dancers, the option of going to the Desert by car is the best. It is longer but it is very enjoyable crossing the country.
From Tangier to Fez there is a very good road. From Fez, there are small roads, but the landscape is amazing. If you choose this option, the organization will help to you. In addition we can get in touch with other dancers to sharing the car.
If you want to be there more days in the Desert or in other cities, the organization will give you the contacts and information.

PRICE
If you want to come we will do everything to make it possible, please contact us, we will be happy to listen to you. Remember that with your fee registration we help to the dancers from Morocco to come to the Festival and also we collaborate in projects of the Khamlia Association.
Registration fee before December 1: 485€
Registrations fee after December 1: 535€
The payment: To make a reservation you need to do a deposit of 250€ will and the rest in the Festival.
You can make the deposit by bank transfer or PayPal.
